My perfect city trips include a few daily plans with plenty of time to wander and explore different neighborhoods. I gravitate towards small, boutique hotels with fabulous bars, and can usually find the perfect restaurant packed with locals, great food and ambiance. I feel equally fortunate hiking with my son in Costa Rica and experiencing water so blue it looks photoshopped, as I do taking a cheese class in Paris or hanging out with my husband and friends at the Grand Banks Oyster Bar in Manhattan on a beautiful summer day.
